Do I need more product and service reviews for my business, and how do I get them?

Just got a good review!We’ve all heard the expression “The best advertising you can get is word of mouth advertising” This statement was never more relevant than it is today. In our internet based social media world, online customer product reviews can have a very definite impact on the sales and profits of any business.

Consumers are specifically looking for comparative shopping information during the search cycle and nearly all searchers are influenced by customer product reviews.  As we mentioned in a previous post,  searchers are naturally drawn to businesses that have a large number of reviews.  Reliance on these reviews is growing as consumers believe that the best product and service information comes from people with similar interest.

So the question becomes, what is your business doing to actively solicit reviews from your customers?  In the attached article, Lisa Barone gives four good examples of how to solicit more reviews from your customers. Whatever approach you decide to use, the important thing is to make it policy.  Build your reviews and watch your business grow.
