Benefits of Pay Per Click

Terry Boddie, Agency Liaison Director, Marketing Media ManagementGuest Blog post by Terry Boddie, President & Agency Liaison Director at Marketing Media Management

In this day and age it is essential for a business, no matter how large or small, to have an online presence, and one of the best ways to boost that presence is through a Pay Per Click Campaign.  These campaigns can get a brand’s message and promotions to an audience that is targeted to those that would be the most receptive of it.  Unlike television or print advertising, using a Pay Per Click campaign successfully will only reach interested potential customers, and not disinterested ones who are just going to change the channel.

The major benefit of using a Pay Per Click campaign for gaining customers and awareness is cost.  Typically, each click of a Pay Per Click campaign only costs the business a few cents, and if each of these clicks becomes a purchasing customer the return on investment is much larger than with other advertising methods.  The company only has to pay for their advertisement if the customer actually clicks on it and goes to the brand’s website; if there is no click through the brand does not have to pay.

Additionally, since the Pay Per Click advertisement is only being shown to people who are searching for related keywords, it means that the ad is being shown to people currently thinking about what the brand has to offer.  Instead of trying to convince someone to think about what the company offers, Pay Per Click is able to reach out to potential customers at the very moment they are interested in what is being offered.
